Romanticism

These works look at my naive perception of the romanticised world. I have been exploring my connections to Europe and in particular, how I glorify Poland. The colours are rather significant and the added detail of red and sepia tones really enhance both my Polish heritage and nostalgia. I am so happy with the way I am improving and I think that these works have a real richness to them.

Playing with new ideas!

Here are the latest works I have been doing. These works explore a personal naivety of the romanticised world, depicting upon the decadence of Europe.  I am trying to emphasise my connection to place and the relationship between reality and fiction. The works are not great but they are a start with my Masters project. I hope they will develop and get better as the semester progresses!...

Women with her flock.
-Bit awkward. not very happy with this image. I tried to aqua tint it and add layers but it still look wrong.

Close up. So happy with the cages of this image. Pity the figure looks too Egyptian for my liking!

Home is too far away.

These images are etchings onto a digital print background.

Snaps from my studio. I have just put up a few works to make it feel homely!

Little Ruby Shoes- Except large! Had a bit of trouble with the acid for this image. Had to aqua tint it in the end. Much better result.
