BSG Group Exhibition

Here are a few pics from the group exhibition at Brunswick Street Gallery in Fitrzoy, Melbourne. Its a beautiful space and I have to say its one of my favourite galleries! I was lucky enough to exhibit in the red room, it suits my work perfectly!!

Works going to the International Art Expo ITALY!

Here is a triptych that is going to Italy for the International Art Expo in Riccione. It is such an amazing opportunity for me to be involved because the topic is MIXED BORDERS AND HYBRID IDENTITIES. The theme is so perfectly suited to the subjects I am dealing with in my practice. This triptych is just a taste of the work, so that I can expose my work to a wider international audience. Each print has been mounted onto canvas and is ready to be hung. Its a much more economical way of showing my work in a gallery and it also looks quite effective. I was very luck because Ian and Marcia from Stray Dog Framing in Hobart have been supporting me 100%. They did a fantastic job with the artworks, as with all my other exhibitions! Fingers crossed this show will become a gateway into new and more exciting projects in future.

Prints and Sketches

Here are some compositions of prints and sketches I have been working on for Masters and various exhibitions. I have been doodling around with figures, buildings and a bit of hand-colour. They have been taken out of the little journal of inspiration that I carry around me where ever I go! They are quite precious to me, although some of them look very crappy and basic. The drawings, in particular were quick sketches where I have tried to draw or write down an idea. I quite often go back to these ideas to create them as an etching or print of some kind.
